Quick answers to the questions the service desk hears most.
No. Meridian's contracts for approved tools prohibit using your prompts or files to train vendor models. That's one of the conditions a tool must meet to be added to the catalog.
You can use public tools with Public information, but they're not covered by university data protections. For anything Internal or above, use an approved service. To get a tool added, submit a request.
Up to and including Internal. Do not enter Confidential or regulated data — use a reviewed business system or the Secure Research AI Cluster instead.
Your instructor. The university sets the floor through the academic-integrity policy, but each course can permit or restrict AI use. Always check the syllabus.
